We were onboard the Disney Destiny last week for an inaugural media preview sailing. The ship is gorgeous and this was one of our best vacations. The Disney Destiny is the newest Disney Cruise Line ship and made its maiden voyage on November 20,2025. We loved the ship’s theme celebrating iconic heroes and villains from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories. But hey let’s be honest? You’re itching to ask me: But Tamania how was the food? Are there halal food options on a Disney Cruise? So let me share in detail how to eat halal on the Disney cruise.
How to Eat Halal on the Disney Cruise
Yes, there are halal food options on the Disney Cruise but you have to add that preference at least 5 weeks before in “My Reservations” on the Disney Cruise app. You can do the same if you eat kosher. For gluten-free, vegetarian, dairy-free, and no-sugar-added options, you can let them know even 3 days before.
We (read I) did that for our reservation and for all our sit-down dinners we could order chicken and beef from the menu and were assured that these were halal. The lamb was not halal. I will sure the menus in detail ahead. I am sharing our experience on the Disney Destiny, but you can order halal before hand on all Disney cruises.
Halal Friendly Options:
The casual dining options have halal-friendly items and not halal. Marceline Market is open for breakfast and lunch. With amazing ocean views there café-style counters, which have seafood and plant-based offerings for breakfast and lunch.
Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods is open for lunch and dinner and has food stations inspired by the Mickey Mouse world, including Mickey’s Smokestack BBQ, Donald’s Cantina, Daisy’s Pizza Pies, Goofy’s Grill and Minnie’s Delights. We always found halal-friendly seafood and vegetarian options here.
Below is a very hearty plate from my breakfast in the Marceline Market:

Halal Dining on the Disney Cruise
We had two formal sit-down dinners on the Disney Destiny. You can have more depending on how many nights you sail.
Prideland: Feast of the Lion King

The ambience of this restaurant takes you into the African savanna and we had a great time enjoying the delicious food along with the live singing and music. Everything with chicken and beef on the menu was halal (but not the lamb).

Worlds of Marvel
We had our second formal sit-down dinner at the Worlds of Marvel and loved the ambience, vibe and especially the music from the mixed tapes featured in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. The kids loved the interactive experience of answering questions from the Marvel universe asked via screens all around us.
Everything chicken and beef was halal on the menu but the lamb was not.
The service was exceptional and we had a great time. Disney does rotational dining on the cruise which means that your serving moves with you every night and it was wonderful to have the same great service every night.

Other Restaurants: 1923, Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté
There are three other restaurants on the Disney Destiny which we did not try. I am sure they will have halal options also if you make the reservation.
I have shared our experience on the Disney Destiny, but you can order halal before hand on all Disney cruises for the sit-down dinners.
Hope this post helps you eat halal on the Disney cruise! I am linking some posts below on how to eat halal at Disney World and Disneyland.
