This Nov 12-15, 2024, we were invited to Disneyland for the launch of Disneyland’s newest ride: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! We had an absolutely magical time. This was the kids’ first time to Disneyland and I went back after exactly 20 years (first time was with my parents and siblings in 2004). My parents made sure they packed kebab roll parathas and snacks when we visited 20 years ago. That was budget and halal friendly! However, this time I tried the Halal food options in Disneyland and sharing my recommendations in this blog post. To be clear, I didn’t find any Halal meat options in Disneyland and by Halal I mean seafood and vegetarian food options.
Oh and we loved Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! You have to try this ride! Here is our review of it:

Halal Food Options in Disneyland
Coming back to the topic here are some Halal food options in Disneyland that we absolutely loved:
1. Jolly Holiday Combo at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe is located right opposite the Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland California. Their toasted cheese sandwich with tomato basil soup is delicious! I had it twice! The serving is great to be satisfying enough for lunch or dinner. Costs $14.49 for one sandwich (cut in two triangles) and a soup. Best to order beforehand via the Disney mobile app. The location is great for people watching! This is a quick service location so you don’t need to make a reservation. Can either sit down to eat or do takeaway.
2. Shrimp Fusilli and Cheese Pizza at Alien Pizza Planet
Alien Pizza Planet is located in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park. The shrimp fusilli has fusili pasta topped with garlic shrimp, a parmesan-pesto cream sauce with sun-dried tomatoes and shaved parmesan cheese. It costs $13.49 and is a generous serving. Alien Pizza Planet also has a decent cheese pizza and one slice is $8.49. Best to order beforehand via the Disney mobile app. This is a quick service location so you don’t need to make a reservation. Can either sit down to eat or do takeaway.
3. Savoury Kugel Mac & Cheese at Holiday Duets
Holiday Duets is in Disneyland California Adventure by the Pelton Wheel and is part of the The 2024 Disney Festival of Holidays happening from November 15, 2024, until January 6, 2025. We loved the Savoury Kugel Mac & Cheese and I had it twice! We used a Sip and Savour pass and the size might be small for a complete meal. So order again if you love it! One serving is for $8.50.
4.7 Greens Gumbo at Tiana’s Palace
This has to be one of my most favourite meals at Dinseyland! Tiana’s Palace is located in Bayou Country in Disneyland Park. You have to try the 7 Greens Gumbo which is a super generous serving at $14.99 of white beans, okra, yams, sweet potatoes and heirloom rice. If you watched the Princess and the frog, you have to eat at Tiana’s Palace and try her father’s recipe! Highly highly recommended!
Best to order beforehand via the Disney mobile app. The property is so beautiful! This is a quick service location so you don’t need to make a reservation. Can either sit down to eat or do takeaway.
Add a treat of the famous dole whip from the Tiki Juice Bar closeby! It’s so refreshing!
I want to add an honourable mention of Shawarma Palace in Disney California Adventures. Their meat is not halal. They do have falafel and a beyond-meat option. We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the taste.
I recommend checking out all food options at Disneyland and Disney California Adventures Park before you go via this link as you plan your trip!
