A couple of weeks ago, I was filling out some forms for my mother and had to enter the date my grandfather passed away. It struck me that he had passed away when he was 47 and my grandmother was only 37. She became a single parent at the age of 37 and was left to not just cope with the grief of losing her partner but also take care of 4 children.
I thought once again about the challenges she must have faced without the access to the right resources. Do you know a single mother in your network? Either through divorce or death of a partner?
I am happy to share a resource course for single mothers in Calgary that’s FREE of cost starting from Sunday, April 6 for Sunday mornings till June 1. Mothers will learn essential coping, budgeting, planning and stress management skills, while their children can enjoy a FREE code ninjas camp in the same location! I love how well-thought this program is so that single moms don’t have to worry about childcare.
