The most googled phrase on the night before Eid is “Mehndi designs”, as we all search for simple and lovely designs to adorn our hands with. I did the research for you all and compiled some of the loveliest and do-able designs on the internet. Here you go!
I love the simplicity of this design from SmartEasyIdeas!
This design above is traditional and I love the little hearts! Fill up the fingers tips also and you’re done!
Love the simplicity of this design on Flickr that can be used on both the inside and the outer side of the hand.
If you’re someone who doesn’t have a lot of time, the design above is perfect!
This is such a cute design on CreativeKhatija’s website.
This is another super cute design from Khatija’s website.
I’m loving this design above for the feet and might try it myself!
I would skip the glitter from the picture above but love the traditional tikki design.
I love the smell of henna but I should add that it was always difficult for me to sit at one spot and wait for the mehndi to dry. Plus I always feared that I would go to sleep and the wet henna hand would end up on my face and I would wake up with a henna stain on my face! I do remember the days though when ammie would put newspaper on our hands with the mehndi and tie it with strings. What memories!
If you do end up with a henna stain, bleach the area or scrub with lemon juice!
Hope you enjoyed these mehndi designs and do tell me which ones you chose for Eid.
