New Pakistani Dramas: Recommendations for 2018-2019

If you recently finished ‘Dil Mom Ka Diya’ and are waiting for the classic ‘Aangan’ to start, here are some new Pakistani dramas that you can watch:

Baba Jani

Although it’s difficult to imagine someone as nice as Faisal Qureshi, I have always been a fan of Faiza Iftikhar’s writing and this is again a good one!

Naulakha

This started off really slow but is now picking up pace and the final battle for the most coveted naulakha has started!

Khudparast

This one is beginning to slow down but I’m still trying to follow i

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi

This is a great serial with a very different topic.

Aatish

I was enjoying this one because of the inherent class difference that exists in our society. It’s turned a little sad now but I’m hoping for it to pick up!

Marham

I’m a big Nauman Aijaz fan and it’s so lovely to see Vaneeza Ahmed on screen again.

Parlor Wali Larki

This was recommended by one of the readers of the blog and it looks promising after episode one!

Dilara

This one was again recommended by a reader on Instagram and I love the cast! Watched one episode till now and looks promising.

Tajdeed-e-Wafa

I still have to catch up on all the episodes but from the beginning episodes, the drama shows some relevant issues of marriage.

Mohini Mansion Ke Cinderellayain

Although it’s sad to see a star like Shabnam as a caricature of her former self, I’m giving this drama a chance after episode one since it shows inner city Lahore in all its glory and has some great senior actors in its cast.

Adhuri Kahani

This is again an intriguing story.  Let’s see how it unfolds.

Hope you enjoyed my recommendations of new Pakistani dramas. Which ones are you watching? Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback!
